Sarah Sommer - Animals at the Office
This project was started in late November 2019, and by April 2020 the book was fully ilustrated.
Animals at the Office is a one of a kind hand illustrated children's picture book about Gator's first day at the office. As you read the book you meet his quirky friends who help him on his journey of self acceptance. Jeffrey Brooks
Jeffrey Brooks is an up and coming photographer and painter in the Chicago area. In 2021 he approached me (Devan) at an art show and asked if I was interested in modeling. Jeff is one of my favorite living artist so it was an instant yes! A few months later the photo Jeff took was turned into a painting and added to his latest series at the time. This series was showcased at Water Street Studios during the month of November 2021. The quote in the art piece says "Who are we letting make our decisions?" and was chosen because of the way it resonated with the way I feel about my life.
